Think before you Donate

There are more and more organizations and
nonprofits asking for donations these days.  
These organizations operate and exist totally
through these donations and grants  Beware,   
do a little work first.  They should be registered
within a State as a Nonprofit Corporation.  They
should also be in the process of registering or be
registered with the Federal IRS as a Nonprofit
Corporation.  This is a simple process, most
States have a listing of registered Nonprofits.  If
they are seeking Federal registration, you can
still make contributions but they should be
registered as a Nonprofit within their State until
the Federal process is compete, check out the
